FAQ's- General Questions about our Toyota Engines
1. What do I have to change before installing Japanese Engines:
Answer: Our Toyota Engines from Japan are same as the US versions except that it is important to transfer all external accessories like alternator, Power steering pump, AC compressor, intake and exhaust from your old engine because our engines are shipped as a long block. It is required to change intake and exhaust because these are considered as emission devices and in order to pass EPA emissions it is required to change such external components from USDM version engines.
2.What do we need to do for tune up before installing the engine.
Answer: Tune on all Toyota Engines is essential because Tune up means preparing the engine by replacing all maintenance components that have wear and tear. For example timing belt, water pump, thermostat, pcv valves, getting the rod out service on the radiator done etc.
